I’m often asked where you get your protein from since I don’t consume any form of meat, fish, poultry, eggs or dairy. I’d just like to share with you some information to help you to decide on your protein choices. It’s a myth that you need to eat lots of protein in order to be healthy. Fact is that proteins can be made in your body.
You need protein in order to build muscle and tendons, make enzymes for digestion and other metabolic processes, to transport oxygen throughout the blood via hemoglobin, to heal and repair your body’s tissues and organs, to make hormones, and to rebuild the structural components of your body.
