I’ve often been asked why I don’t use any cooking oil in my cooking and is there any health benefits in using oil. The answer is, overall it’s fat and when you look at the contents of fat, it’s fat. 17% of olive oil is saturated, artery clogging fat, every bit as aggressive in promoting heart disease as saturated fat in roast beef!
We live in a world where we have a choice in being healthy or not. We are very good at blaming others for our weight issues, but if we would just look in the mirror at ourself, we would see who is to blame.
We all have the same choices in life, some good, some not so good! The food we consume is very addictive and it’s like a drug or a sore that seems to get worse with time and as we get older. I’m convinced it’s the medicine that’s given to us, because it’s our way of doing what feels good to us. The doctor said it, so it must be true! Remember that doctors once said it was good to smoke!
When it comes to our health we must make sound choices in the foods we select for our bodies.
